Heliographie Projekt 1827–2027

Google Street View produziert Bilder ohne Blick.
Ich entnehme einzelne Frames diesem Strom und übertrage sie mit dem Verfahren von Joseph Nicéphore Niépce auf Metall.

Was als Information existiert, wird Objekt.
Was zirkuliert, wird einmalig.

Ich arbeite nicht als Fotograf.
Ich arbeite als Kurator des Zufalls.
Ich archiviere das Digitale im Physischen — und ich tue es mit dem Verfahren, das alles begann.

Google Street View– Cheops-Pyramide, Juni 2013, mittags. Im August 2023 fertigte ich ein Internegativ von The Beginning, the Pyramids and the Pen an. An einem sonnigen Tag belichtete ich damit über sechs Stunden eine Heliographie auf einer mit Asphalt beschichteten Aluminiumplatte. Es ist die einzige Belichtung dieses Motivs.
