The everyday life immortalized on asphalt

Each heliograph is a handcrafted unique piece.
Using sunlight, I transfer internegatives – partly based on Google Street View – onto metal plates coated with asphalt emulsion. This ancient technique harks back to the pioneering experiments of Joseph Nicéphore Niépce.
